Acrylic fabric cotton linen nylon olefin polyester spandex blot up or scrape excess material and rinse stain in cool water.
Baby formula milk stains.
Pre treating spit up stains milk stains or baby formula stains once an item has been soaked apply a small amount of detergent to help lift the stain before doing a full wash.
If the stain remains mix one tablespoon of ammonia caution.
If you don t have liquid detergent make a paste from laundry powder by mixing it with a small amount of water before applying.
1 tablespoon dish soap 2 cups cold to cool water.
Never mix chlorine bleach and ammonia the resulting fumes are hazardous with two cups of warm water.
Add baking soda to the soiled area and wash.
Blot up as much of the formula as you can using a cleaning cloth or paper towels work from the outside edges of the stain in towards the center of the stain to help keep the stain from spreading.
Then make the following mix to clean the remaining stain.
One of the problems with formula stains is that it leaves a yellow smear.
Breast milk stains are fairly simple to remove but the stains caused by baby formula can be especially tough to remove due to all the ingredients.
To avoid this yellowing effect as soon as your baby spits up wipe off the formula.
If not flush with cool water and allow to dry thoroughly.
You don t want to smear it into the fabric as it will be harder to remove.
Launder immediately if possible.
